John F. Stoddard, 1825-1873 (Principal, MSNS, 1855-1856)

John Fair Stoddard was an author of a number of textbooks, primarily in the field of mathematics, as well as an education entrepreneur.  He was the first Principal of Millersville State Normal School, founder of the Susquehanna Company Normal School and Principal of public schools in Pennsylvania, New York State and New York City.
