George Hull, 1852-1928 (MSNS Class of 1874 and 1875)

George Washington Hull was born 16 September 1852 in Strasburg, Pennsylvania and was graduated from Millersville State Normal School in 1874 with an M.E. degree and 1875 with an M.S. degree.  He taught at MSNS from 1875 to 1882 leaving for one year to become Superintendent of School in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.  He returned in 1883 as head of the Mathematics Department at MSNS, remaining until his retirement in 1921.  He was the author of a series of mathematics textbooks.  He died 14 January 1928 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
