The Late Dr. Rita Smith-Wade-El

Professor of Psychology

"Rita Smith Wade El. . . . Because that lady is very passionate about everything and you know if you ain't doing it the right way, she is going to tell you are doing it the wrong way. And she will call you at six o’clock in the morning and curse you out and tell you that you are making the wrong life decisions and that you need to get on the roll so."(1) - Nicole Smith

Diana Garber

Developmental Mathematics

"Regarding professors, I love Mrs. Garber. She teaches my math. I’m in below math right now and she’s so patient with me. Just every time she teaches she’s really patient, she's really helping. Like, I don't know. She’s really understanding. I love her so much."(2) - Elizabeth Wright

Dr. Aaron Porter

Assistant Professor of Anthropology

"Okay, Dr. Porter. I had him for the first time this semester, but I feel like he as an individual has impacted my collegiate experience beyond words. He has given me time management skills, he's given me a better work ethic, he's expanded my mind and knowledge on sociology. And I feel like that Dr. Porter himself has given me a better understanding of how this country works, how communities work, how to think differently, how to think outside the box opposed to always thinking in your comfort zone."(3) - Michea Wolfley

"I would say the professors, which I would think, I don’t know, maybe that’s what college is meant to do, but they sorta helped link a bridge between reality, and the real world, and coming to school, and what we’re here for, and what we can do out there. And I like that."(4) - Nicha Smith
